Biography
Naomi DeVries Pomerantz (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto)
Namoi is a recent transplant to Washington DC, from Pittsburgh, PA via New York City.
She graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a BFA in musical theatre,
of all things, but immediately began singing early and sacred music professionally.
While living in New York, she sang with the New York Virtuoso Singers and the Orpheon
Chorale, as well as with the professional octet at the church of St Luke in the Fields in
Greenwich Village. Now in DC, she is the alto soloist/section leader at St Paul's K St,
and sings regularly with the Woodley Ensemble, Chantry, and the Washington Bach Consort.
In her spare time she works at a Curves gym and cares for her cats.
