Artistic Director's Message
Hello, and welcome to the website for The Countertop Quartet. The Quartet...continues its season by adding Tenors and Basses, and our season will continue to
feature all three groups: the Countertop Quartet, the Countertop Consort, a group that specializes in lower-voice music, men only, Countertenors, Tenors and
Basses, and the Countertop Ensemble, containing all the singers.
This is also means we have a lot of new singers.
Sopranos for the season are Ellen Myers Kliman, Elisabeth Myers, Elizabeth Hungerford and Robin Smith; Countertenors are Chris Dudley, John Bradford Bohl and
Jeremy Filsel; Tenors are Matthew Smith, Stephen White and Dustin Lucas; and our three Basses are Benjamin Park, Karl Hempel and Brendan Curran.
This year looks to be very exciting. We'll see some exciting concerts featuring all aspects of the group; quartet, consort and ensemble, as well as a group concert
with Carmina, and a few collaborations with Michael Holmes and his two ensembles, the Washington Sackbutt Ensemble and the Ensemble of the 17th Century.

For our concerts, we are offering High School Students and children 17 & under free admission into all Countertop concerts. Unfortunately, we do not have this
luxury for joint concerts, but the following are Free to Youngsters - Families, bring the kids!
